A procedure for the flow-injection determination of cadmium traces in aqueous solutions has been developed. The procedure is based on the use of ion-selective electrodes sensitive to chloride or iodide complexes of cadmium. Sorption preconcentration simultaneously transforms cadmium to analytically active species, it decreases the limit of detection, and improves the selectivity of determination.
