An improved method based on fuzzy logic with beta parameter for PV MPPT system

摘要
The variation in output power of the photovoltaic panel has been observed under varying temperatures and irradiance. It is important to keep the output power close to the maximum power point under varying environmental conditions. This paper presents the technique based on Fuzzy Logic Maximum Power Point Tracking with beta parameter as third input, under varying temperature (10 - 45)degrees C and irradiance (600-1100) W/m(2). The output voltage and current of solar panel changes with varying environmental conditions such as temperature and irradiance. There is a unique MPPT operating point for any weather conditions. Addition of the third input is introduced as a novel FLC: it is added as intermediate variable beta. This will make the membership features of the fuzzy rule cover broad operating conditions. The proposed technique is applied to the solar PV system, and responses are recorded for various conditions by varying temperature and irradiance. It is perceived that the proposed technique provides better results in terms of accuracy and efficiency when compared with other FLC models and also provides power with minimum oscillations under various conditions.
