摘要：
The energy contents of three internationally known brands of C-size alkaline cells were measured to establish the cost of battery power. The lifetime cost of batteries for a radio is likely to far exceed the radio purchase price. It is important that radios are designed for minimum power consumption. Large reductions in power consumption are possible.
