摘要
Coal combustion is one of the oldest technologies, which is influenced by many factors. Strongly non-uniform porous structure and complex surface of coal particle is one of the most important reasons which causes combustion phenomenon different with coals. Several kinds of coal chars were produced by combustion in a swift thermogravimetry analyzer. The char surface was measured using SEM technology. Some new methods were applied to analysis the photographs: cluster analysis, statistical analysis and fractal theory. It shows that fractal surface dimension of char is changed on combustion.
