摘要：

On the basis of the image database and vector database of the Keriya Oasis, the paper primarily studies the changes of the land cover of the oasis of Keriya during the last decade using remote sensing data and geographic information systems. In contrast to the data of the latest three years' fieldwork, the environmental changes and the desertification degree of the study area have been analyzed. The results are relevant to the sustainable development of the west and area.
