摘要：
Twenty years ago, Stafford Beer described his view of "The Viable System", based on the premise that the laws of Cybernetics require certain characteristics in any self-sustaining system, if it is to continue to exist. His model could be interpreted as being of any large system-a government, the human body, or an enterprise. Applying it to an enterprise has profound implications on the kinds of information systems that should be built to support such an enterprise.
