摘要
According to the burnout-model of Leiter we investigated differential relationships between work demands or resources on the one hand and the burnout dimensions emotional exhaustion or depersonalization on the other hand. In addition, the current study tested whether these relationships are mediated by emotional exhaustion. Using a sample of 310 professionals caring for the elderly the postulated mediator effect of the Leiter model was confirmed: work demands were directly related to emotional exhaustion and indirectly - mediated by emotional exhaustion - to depersonalization. By contrast, resources were directly related to both of the burnout dimensions.
