摘要
This paper outlines the preparatory research on the use of structural topology optimization (TO) software in architectural and structural design and its applicability to big area additive manufacturing (BAAM). As a case study, the work aims at devising a schematic design and a fabrication workflow for a small pavilion with a topologically optimized 3D-printed structural frame.
