PRESENT SITUATION COUNTERMEASURES AND SUGGESTIONS OF RURAL DOMESTIC SEWAGE TREATMENT IN COASTAL AREAS OF JIANGSU PROVINCE CHINA TAKING YANCHENG CITY AS AN EXAMPLE

The present situation of rural domestic sewage and the construction and operation of treatment facilities in Yancheng City were comprehensively investigated. The volume of rural domestic sewage was estimated, the sewage quality was investigated and analyzed as well, and the treatment rate and process of sewage treatment facilities were also analyzed in detail. Moreover, operation situation and mode of operation and maintenance were investigated. It is found that there were some problems, such as insufficient operation and maintenance cost of sewage facilities, unclear operation and management mechanism and deficient discharge test of sewage treatment facilities. Finally, from the perspective of the whole life cycle, some countermeasures and suggestions to solve the problem of sewage treatment were put forward, so as to provide the basis for further formulating scientific sewage treatment schemes and continuously promoting the rural domestic sewage treatment in Jiangsu coastal areas.
