摘要
In order to evaluate the effect of two treatments (T=control and P= probiotic oral paste) on growth rate, thirty two crossbred calves (MS= Senepol and MH= Holstein) from one day until 109 days of age were used. The study was done in a farm under a Venezuelan tropical sub-humid forest. General Linear Model procedures was applied to analyze the data. The body weight and the average of daily gain were not affected by treatment and crossbred effects (P>0.05). The results of these trial demonstrate that the Senepol crossbred carves have similar growth rate that Holstein crossbred calves and the use of probiotic oral paste must be supplied when exist management and sanitary problems in the farm.
