摘要
Cellular structures with zero Poisson's ratio (ZPR) have potential application in tissue engineering. Although the Poisson's ratio of a certain network is mainly determined by the internal cell wall arrangement, it is also influenced by the fine-scale geometry parameters. In this paper, the effects of cell wall relative thickness and the corner radius on the elastic properties of two types of ZPR cellular structures, including reversed semi-re-entrant (RSRE) and semi-re-entrant (SRE) honeycombs, were investigated by means of finite element method (FEM). The result shows that the cell wall relative thickness and the corner radius have a significant effect on the Poisson's ratios of RSRE and SRE honeycombs. This phenomenon is attributed to the deformation effect of the vertexes and it can be eliminated by altering the effective length of the inclined strut. This effect is also validated as documented later by our experiments.
