摘要
This paper proposes a model of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) improved compared to the model proposed by Yao [1] in a supply chain to two links with a seller and a buyer, which considers the cost of shipping to the buyer and supplier inventory synchronized. It discusses the relevant total costs of the supply chain and benefits for each of the links in comparison to situations where no policy is implemented and in which VMI is implemented VMI model proposed by Yao [1]. We review the impact of the implementation of VMI in the sector baker in Colombia using parameters that were determined in previous studies [2] and is obtained that the implementation of an inventory policy coordination is beneficial to both the supplier and to the buyer.
