On the capacity of W-CDMA system with different bandwidths in a realistic mobile channel

摘要
In this paper, the capacity of asynchronous CDMA system having different bandwidths of 1MHz, 5MHz, and 10MHz, is analyzed and compared with each other over realristic mobile radio channel. It is assumed that the CDMA system undergoes Rician fading having Rice parameter corresponding to the system bandwidth By using measured data, the Rice parameter which accounts for the effects of multipath fading is evaluated for each CDMA system. Also, the average error probability and the system capacity are derived. The capacity estimation shows the interesting result that the wider the bandwidth, the more the capacity.
