Dynamic Sorption of Carbonate Forms of Uranium(VI) with FIBAN Fibrous Ion Exchangers

摘要
It was found that FIBAN AK-22V and FIBAN A-6 fibrous ion exchangers exhibit high-efficiency for the dynamic sorption of uranyl carbonate comwplexes from dilute carbonate solutions and from model solutions containing an excess of supporting electrolytes and these fibrous ion exchangers can be regenerated and reused. A comparative study is performed of the sorption and desorption properties of the above ion exchangers in comparison with the properties of uranium(VI) carbonate forms. The fibrous anion exchanger FIBAN A-6 demonstrates higher dynamic sorption parameters than fibrous polyampholyte FIBAN AK-22V. With FIBAN A-6, 8-50 column volumes of carbonate solutions and 160 column volumes of model solutions can be treated to remove uranium. When NaHCO3 and HNO3 solutions are used for desorption of uranium from the surface of this anionite, eluates may be obtained, in which in the case of carbonate and model solutions, respectively, the uranium(VI) concentration is 60-100 times higher and more than 300 times higher than in the initial solutions. Regenerated anion exchanger FIBAN A-6 can be repeatedly used for sorption of uranium from carbonate solutions.
