Correlation between radius ratio and ionicity character in alkali halides with the NaCl-structure

摘要：
Linear relationships between the radius ratio rho and the Szigeti charge e* for alkali halides are presented. The observation is explained on the basis of electronegativity and the compactness of crystal packing in the materials. Values of Szigeti charge which have not been reported hitherto can be determined via the present work.
