摘要
The common practice of using mathematical models for teaching topics in sciences is contrasted with the unique opportunity offered by the power of modern computers. The countless mathematical equations describing the externally observed behaviours may be all embraced by a handful of first principles underlying these behaviours. Examples from natural sciences and from statistics are presented.
