摘要
During the latter half of this century, the steel industry has been transformed by major technological advances. Coupled with the implementation of innovative production systems, there have been ever increasing demands for improved steel quality. These demands have been met by advances in our knowledge and understanding of interactions within individual reaction vessels and also during transfer operations between the primary furnace and the casting mold. As we move into the next century, our greatest challenge will be to ensure the availability of high quality people who will in their turn create high quality products by new processing technologies which will be both energy efficient and environmentally acceptable.
