摘要
The diamagnetic susceptibility of hydrogenic donor in both ground state as well as in some low lying excited states like 2s, 2p(+/-) and 2p(0) confined in square-well and 1s, 1p(+/-) and 1p(0) in parabolic potential in a spherical quantum dot of finite barrier have been computed and compared in the effective mass approximation using variational method. We have considered nonparabolicity of the conduction band using Hrivnak model. Results are presented and discussed.
