Study on data incremental updating method of navigable digital map

摘要
Normally, to update the map in the car navigation system, the customer had to visit the dealer to replace the entire national map (at most 1 to 2 times per year). It is unfavorable to dynamic navigation because of lacking of real-time traffic information and up-to-date map data. By the means of telecommunication, car navigation system can get up-to-date information when it is necessary. The thesis introduces the update method based incremental, to realize digital map dynamic update via wireless communication. Firstly, the paper analyses the need for digital map dynamic update and studies the incremental based dynamic update method and frame. Secondly, it discusses physical storage file (PSF) of the digital map in mobile client and dissertates incremental file based incremental data management method. Finally, it shows the implementation of proposed system and briefly experimental results. With the experiment on the dynamic update process of navigable digital map, it verifies the validity of the dynamic update model and method.
