摘要：
The paper presents the verification of the classical theory of depth filtration commonly used to calculate the initial efficiency of fibrous filters. The results obtained by the single fibre theory have been compared with the experimental data as well as with the values of efficiency determined utilizing the Brownian dynamics approach. The investigations concerned the mechanical and electret filters, spherical particles and fractal-like aggregates.
