Analysis of transient stimulated brillouin scattering in a combined fiber with different core diameter

摘要
A theoretical model has been presented to illustrate the transient SBS process in a combined fiber with different core diameter. The time shape of the Stokes wave is calculated and the whole process of SBS is illustrated by numerical solution. Results show that the combined fiber has a very low SBS threshold and high reflectivity with larger dynamic range for its dual-cell structure.
