System simulation of dispersion compensation with specially sampled fiber Bragg grating

摘要
A kind of specially sampled fiber Bragg grating (SSBG) has been recently proposed to compensate the dispersion in the optical fiber communication system. We substitute dispersion compensation fiber with SSBG in the 10 Gbit/s dispersion-managed system over 1000 km. Post- and pre-compensation methods are compared. The dispersion compensation effect of SSBG is also compared with the chirp Bragg grating. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
