Tests of electrical-two-speed propulsion by induction motor winding switching for electric vehicles

摘要
This paper presents the test results of an induction motor drive with electrical-two-speed-transmission for electric vehicle propulsion systems using the indirect field orientation control. The proposed method can result in a 22.8% improvement to the acceleration as compared with the fixed stator winding method while the inverter power capacity remains the same value as with the fixed stator winding method.
