摘要
Hydrothermal reaction of Bi(NO3)(3). 5H(2)O and Na2S . 9H(2)O produces Bi2S3 nanorods in the temperature range of 100-170 degreesC. X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) indicates that the product is orthorhombic Bi2S3 with cell constants a = 1.1132 nm, b = 1.1256 nm and c = 0.3976 nm. TEM images show that the product has the morphology of nanorods. Although Bi(NO3)(3) is easily hydrolysed in water, the formation of bismuth sulfide under hydrothermal conditions using these starting materials is not inhibited. The mechanism of the formation of Bi2S3 is proposed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
