摘要：
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is the headstream of Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWFs). Kuwait established Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA) in 1953, which was considered the first SWF in the world. Nowadays, the value of SWFs founded in the Middle East accounts for one third of the total value of SWFs all over the world, and most of them are from GCC states. In recent years, GCC States' Sovereign Wealth Funds have experienced a fast development and delivered more and more impact on the global economy. However, GCC States' Sovereign Wealth Funds face many challenges, so they should adjust their development direction accordingly in the future.
