24/7 Dynamic NMR Spectroscopy: A New Paradigm for Undergraduate NMR Use

In this chapter I present how we have used remote instrumentation in the sophomore organic chemistry laboratory at St. Olaf College to completely transform how NMR spectroscopy is carried out and how the concepts related to NMR spectroscopy are introduced. I will touch on the process we went through during the past few years to implement what we call 24/7 Dynamic NMR Spectroscopy, and I will show how the implementation we have put in place has enabled a completely new team-based approach to investigation by students at the sophomore level.
