An Empirical Study on the Influencing Factors of Rural Surplus Labor Transfer in the Context of New Urbanization

The key to settle the issues of agriculture, rural area and farmers as well as to achieve the objective of the urban-rural integration in the context of new urbanization is to guide the transfer of rural surplus labor reasonably. On the basis of the current situation of China's rural surplus labor, this paper makes an empirical research on the influencing factors of rural surplus labor transfer by using correlation analysis, principal component analysis and regression analysis. The results show that there is significant difference between the degree of influence and influencing ratio of various factors. The most influential factor is the primary industry labor productivity, while the incidence of social welfare composite index reaches a high level, which indicates that with the economic and social progress and development of new urbanization. In addition, the factors affecting the transfer of rural surplus labor force continue to change; and some new factors should be taken seriously.
