A Novel Encryption Scheme Based on Fully Homomorphic Encryption and RR-AES Along with Privacy Preservation for Vehicular Networks

摘要
With the advancements in vehicular networks the privacy protection of vehicles forms a crucial part. In this paper, we have proposed a privacy-preserving scheme that amalgamates Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) with Reduced Round Advanced Encryption standard (RR-AES) to ensure that the private information of the vehicle is preserved and protected in a vehicular network. This proposed scheme is capable of handling several attacks such as denial of service (DoS), replay, non-repudiation, authentication and man-in-the-middle attack. The results show that the computational overhead is minimized by 5.76%, and 25% by the proposed scheme when compared with the existing schemes. Further, the operational cost of encryption and decryption has also been reduced with the proposed scheme.
