摘要
This article reports the development of organic dyes as an attempt to reduce material costs of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). Indonesia, a country with variety and considerable number of botanical resources, is suitable to perform the research. Indonesian black rice, curcuma, papaya leaf, and the combination were chosen as organic dyes source. Dyes were extracted using organic solvent and adsorbed on mesoporous Titanium Dioxide (TiO(2)) which has been optimized in our laboratory. The best dyes light absorbance and performance obtained from papaya leaf as chlorophyll dyes that gives two peaks at 432nm and 664nm from UV-Vis Spectrophotometry and performance under 100mW/cm(2) Xenon light solar simulator gives V(OC) = 0.566 Volt, J(SC) = 0.24mA/cm(2), Fill Factor = 0.33, and efficiency of energy conversion 0,045%.
