摘要
In order to resolve the issue that a vessel traffic system has dual characteristics of both discreteness and continuity, we proposed a hybrid modelling method as the basis for a simulation of vessel traffic flow. An intelligent behaviour-decision algorithm for vessels, based on GIS spatial analysis methods, was also established to further improve the flexibility and intelligence of the simulation. We completed a prototype system according to these proposals, which provided an effective tool for describing, evaluating and verifying maritime traffic conditions and forecasting traffic flows.
