A Blind Equalization algorithm based on the wavelet neural network in PAM system

摘要
In this paper, we propose a new Blind Equalization algorithm based on the wavelet neural network(WFNN). This paper also gives the iteration formula of the algorithm. The computer simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. In digital communication system, the inter-symbol interference (ISI) caused by non-ideal character of channel is the main factor which affect communication quality. The conventional equalizer resorts to a training sequence to overcome ISI. But this method can influence communication efficiency. So the blind equalization technique is proposed. The wavelet neural network is an improved neural network structure which combines the virtue of wavelet transform time-frequency localization with the neural network self-learning property, So it has stronger approach and tolerated ability. The wavelet neural network has been well applied in many areas, such as signal processing, data compressing, model identification, system identification, fault diagnose and so on1.
