Zinc anodization in acidic media. Oscillations influenced by nitrate ions

摘要：
Metallic anodes of electrochemical cells may present potential or current oscillations in certain experimental conditions. Zinc anode immersed in nitric acid-potassium dichromate solution presents different behaviors, for different acid (pH) or nitrate ions concentration. This work presents zinc anodic behavior under nitrate ions concentration. This behavior may vary from steady state to chaos, via one period and two period oscillations.
