Synthesis of Multibeam Directivity Patterns to Improve Performance of Radar Stations with an Active Phased Antenna Array

摘要
A simple approach to creating multibeam patterns is considered, when there is one microwave input/output, and a set of beams is formed as beams of one multibeam directional pattern. It is shown that the algorithm for phase synthesis of a multipath pattern is simpler to implement than the algorithm for amplitude-phase synthesis. In addition, it is shown that phase synthesis has significantly lower energy losses than amplitude-phase synthesis. The principle of simultaneous formation of several beams in a digital antenna array is considered. It is shown that if the antenna array has a block structure, then the calculation of the phase distribution can be carried out in parallel in all built-in computers, which provides a high speed of calculations of the entire array of phases for the emitting aperture.
