Science after Communism

This chapter attempts to find common aspects in the diversity of transition of science and technology to post-Communism. The chapter begins with a brief history of the relationship between science and Communism, discusses the process of transition and the underlying belief system, and concludes by identifying lacunae in our knowledge of the process and formulating questions for further research.
