摘要
Ellipsoidal worm gearing is similar to globoidal worm-gearing; the difference is given by the position of the worm which is placed inside the wheel; the mathematical model is the support to generate the virtual model in the environment of a CAD system; finite element method gives information regarding the behavior of the worm thread surface in contact with the wheel; this study of the geometry and the contact of the ellpsoidal worm gearing model offers new information for researchers and producers in the field of gears.
