摘要
A study of high speed switching in advanced metal particle (MP) recording media has been undertaken. By applying pulsed and swept magnetic fields to switch the media, a remanence curve is produced which is analogous to the digital recording process. These measurements reveal that the remanent coercivity for a 1.8 ns pulse increases to around 1.3 times the value of the quasi-DC level, as well as an observed broadening of the switching field distribution. These experimental results are compared with the switching model suggested by el Wile. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
