Low phase noise 300 GHz generation from laser diodes injection-locked to a dissipative Kerr soliton microcomb

摘要
We investigate injection-locking low cost laser diodes (LD's) to a dissipative Kerr soliton (DKS) frequency comb. The locked LD's improve the optical signal to noise of the comb teeth by over 35 dBm/nm while maintaining the low phase noise and frequency stability of the microcomb repetition rate. The resulting laser lines can be photomixed down to produce precision THz radiation.
