Interaction of proteins with the surface of dispersed silica in aqueous suspensions

摘要
The adsorption of bovine serum albumin on the dispersed silica surface from aqueous medium was studied. Protein adsorption is virtually independent of the storage time of the silica suspension. The effects of the solvation of dipeptides modeling albumin fragments, and their interaction with =Si-OH groups of silica in both molecular and zwitter-ionic forms were considered. It was established that the maximum contribution to the stabilization of adsorption complexes is made by the =SiO-... H+NR and =SiO(H) ... H+NRCOO- bonds.
