摘要
This paper presents a recently-developed compact horizontally-polarized end-fire leaky wave antenna with a series of stubs periodically-loaded within two lines of the coplanar stripline (CPS). Under this kind of loading strategy, the phase constant of the original CPS can be directly pulled down, so that the designed antenna is able to be worked on the arbitrary substrate, and easily meets the exact end-fire radiation condition. The principle of the proposed antenna prototype is discussed, and compared with other loading methods. The performances of the proposed end-fire leaky wave antenna are also simulated and verified by the measurement. The results confirm that the proposed loading strategy is an effective way to realize the end-fire radiation properties with good performance.
