Innovation, entrepreneurship and engineering education

The rising expectation that technically inspired innovation and entrepreneurship will characterise the growth of economies in the future, as well as sustain or improve the quality of life around the world, has significant implications for engineering education. If engineering schools are going to prepare students to meet this expectation, then the curriculum needs to include training in innovation and entrepreneurship. Various approaches to this task are suitable. One such approach, TRIZ, is placed in the context of traditional university education.
