摘要
In the resent paper, a new piezoelectric thick shell element is presented. The formulation is based upon the p degeneration approach to allow the modelling of arbitrary geometries. Shear and membrane locking are eliminated by employing assumed natural strains in the form of the MITC approach. For the electric potential, a quadratic variation in thickness direction is assumed. This makes the element suitable for both sensor and actuator applications and takes into account the electric potential induced in the bending deformation.
