摘要
We have grown EuPt2As2 single crystals using self-flux method, and investigated the physical properties by performing electrical transport, magnetic susceptibility and specific heat measurements. X-ray diffraction studies show that EuPt2As2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic structure with space group Pmmn. While no superconductivity is observed down to 1.5 K, two antiferromagnetic transitions related to Eu ions are found below 10 K. Similar to iso-structural EuPd2As2 and EuPd2Sb2, we propose that the first transition at 7.1 K is due to the antiferromagnetic ordering of Eu moments, and the second one at 5.9 K is due to a spin reorientation. The specific heat measurements reveal that the extrapolated Sommerfeld coefficient is moderately large gamma(0) similar to 70.5 mJ/(mol.K-2). We also proposed a field versus temperature phase diagram of this compound. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
