This tutorial describes some typical applications of artificial neural networks (ANNs) in power systems. It is the third in ct series of three articles which, through a consideration of real problems, illustrates some of the practical aspects of ANN design in terms of architecture, training data requirements, selection of input features and learning algorithms.
