Laser induced ablation of gold nano particles in micellar solution

摘要
Gold nanoparticles dipped in cetyltrimethylammonium bromide aqueous micellar solution were prepared by laser-induced ablation of a gold metal plate. The method proved that the nanoparticles were prepared in cationic as well as anionic surfactant compared to the chemical method, which provided nanoparticles only in cationic micelles. The absorption spectra of gold nanoparticles were similar to that of gold nanoparticles prepared chemically. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images determined the size and the distribution of the nanoparticles. A clear dependence of the nanoparticles size on the surfactant concentration as well as the wavelength of laser at (1064, 532 nm) and the number of laser shots was observed.
