Development of standards for property evaluation of ceramic matrix composites

摘要
Standard methods for mechanical properties of ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) have been investigated within the PEC-CGT project (Development of the 100kW Automotive Ceramic Gas Turbine Project managed by the Petroleum Energy Center). Based on the investigation, fourteen kinds of standards have been prepared in March 1997. Each standard describes the procedure for the property measurement, explanatory notes of the measurement condition, situation of the CMC standardization, and one-page abstract. These standards were not only used to evaluate properties of the CMCs developed in the CGT project, but also are expected to contribute to further international standardization.
