摘要
Pathologies of the long head of the biceps tendon (LHBT) are a frequent cause of anterior shoulder pain. In an isolated pathology of the LHBT, tenodesis and tenotomy yield excellent functional outcomes, whereby it is not uncommon for tenotomy to lead to distalization of the muscle belly and therefore to cosmetically unsatisfactory results. With reference to tenodesis of the LHBT, suprapectoral and also subpectoral refixation techniques are available. An advantage of subpectoral in comparison to suprapectoral tenodesis is the lower revision rate. The aim of this article is to describe the subpectoral LHBT tenodesis technique in detail.
