摘要
A mathematical model for the compression behavior of cohesionless soils over a very wide pressure range is discussed. The approach is for constitutive modeling of generalized soil behavior. A expression is developed which is intended to fit the experimental variation of the tangential bulk modulus Kt with the mean effective pressure p′, rather than the compression curve itself, during isotropic compression. The compression curve is then obtained by means of numerical integration of the proposed Kt = Kt(n, p′).
