Resiliency and burnout: Protective factors for human service managers

摘要
The author presents the, results of a study examining the applicability of previous research on,resiliency-enhancing protective factors to the reduction of burnout bt human service managers. This study's findings indicate statistically significant correlation between lower Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scores and such protective factors as social support maintaining one's sense of professional mission, receiving recognition for one's job-related talents mid skills, and increasing one's sense of self-efficacy Implications of the findings for managers, agencies, and future research are discussed.
