Influence of pressure on the structural transition T' (type Nd2CuO4-type)->T/O (distorted K2NiF4-type) in the La(2-x)Nd(x)CuO4 oxides with x=0.60, 0.70, 1.20, 1.50 and 2.00

摘要
A pressure-induced transition has been observed in a series of oxides with the formula La2-xNdxCuO4. The structural change is characterized by a decrease in volume per formula unit V/Z of 4% and an increase of the coordination number of both cations: 8 --> 9 for La3+ and Nd3+, and 4 --> 6 for CuO2+. The observed transition pressure increases with the substitution rate x, from 4.6 GPa for x = 0.60 up to about 25 GPa for x = 2.00.
