摘要：
In this paper a review has been given on the present state of geotechnical education in Egypt. The shortcomings being emphasized especially regarding facilities and adherence to traditional methods. The second part of the paper focuses on the new trends currently - or in the process of - being adopted The main new trends are special techniques, environment earthquake, soil improvement, torrent floods, in-situ testing and the new idea of teaching design courses before theories.
